About Learn & Laugh Marrickville
Opened 11th September 2023!
Learn & Laugh at Marrickville is in an all-new, architecturally designed centre, constructed with a boutique homely feel in mind. We are located on Ivanhoe Street, in a quiet part of Marrickville. The centre caters for only 55 children, and is separated into 3 specially designed rooms which have been developed to really allow children to explore, learn and be nurtured.
Getting to Our Marrickville Early Learning Centre
Learn & Laugh Marrickville is easy to access for local families and commuters travelling from surrounding suburbs, like Petersham and Earlwood.
- Address: 6 Ivanhoe Street, Marrickville NSW 2204
- Majority of our families walk to and from the centre, utilising our pram parking in the basement carpark.
- Parking: We offer three visitor carpark spots in basement carpark on-site/off-street to make drop-off and pick-up simple and convenient. With extra on-street parking available as well.
- Public Transport: The centre is accessible via bus routes: 423 – City to Kingsgrove and SW1 – Bankstown to Sydenham . Also we are only a 3-minute walk from Marrickville station.

We have had such a wonderful experience as a part of the Learn & Laugh community. The team supported our 11 month old son as he transitioned to daycare for the first time. All the educators are so kind and you can tell they truly care about the children. We’re so sad to be leaving the centre, and will forever be grateful for a great first daycare experience!

We’ve been so lucky to find Learn and Laugh, and especially Lynne in the senior room.
It’s such a lovely daycare! The educators are warm, caring, and really take the time with the kids.
There are always lots of activities, plenty of outdoor play, and so many chances for the kids to learn and explore. My little one has grown so much there and is now more than ready for Kindy.
I really can’t recommend it enough!

I wanted to just share how much T has enjoyed the art aspect of daycare of late.
We've had arts & crafts items in our home for a long time and he hasn’t shown much interest.
Some of that is age/development but the change in him lately that we’ve seen and the peak in his interest in art, we feel are attributed to Lynn and the other educators in his room. T now paints every single morning with me before daycare and he loves it! Telling me stories of Van Goug that I didn’t even know too ha!
We are so thankful and enjoy seeing how his daycare learnings are translating into his everyday.

Hi, my name is Melissa Sekulic. I am a mother of two children myself and I have been working in the childcare industry for over 20 years.
Hand on heart I have to say that Learn and Laugh shares my passion and ensures that everything is about and for the children.
I started working in the childcare industry through my love for children and being able to watch them grow, develop and achieve their milestones whilst having the opportunity and being proud to play a part in the people they become, our future generation.
I believe each child is unique, individual and learn best through active learning. My aim is to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment where each of our children are able to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.
As centre manager of learn and laugh Marrickville I look forward to ensuring myself and our educators provide only the best for you and our children.
