Learn & Laugh Marrickville is a boutique, purpose-built early learning centre designed to provide children with a calm, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow and thrive. Opened in September 2023, our architecturally designed centre combines modern facilities with a warm, homely feel, creating a welcoming space for both children and families.

Located on a quiet, leafy street in the heart of Marrickville, our centre caters for just 55 children, allowing us to build genuine relationships with every child and family.

Our centre features three thoughtfully designed learning environments:

• Nursery
• Junior room
• Senior Preschool

Our bright, spacious rooms are filled with natural light and enjoy a beautiful leafy outlook, creating peaceful spaces where children can explore, discover and develop with confidence.

Our outdoor learning environments have been carefully designed to suit each stage of development. Babies and toddlers enjoy their own dedicated outdoor space, while our junior preschool and preschool children have a separate outdoor learning area that encourages active play, creativity, problem-solving and social connection.

At Learn & Laugh Marrickville, our experienced educators build strong relationships with every child, supporting their individual interests and helping them develop the confidence, independence and skills they need for school and beyond.

To make busy family life a little easier, all meals are freshly prepared on site each day by our dedicated cook using nutritious ingredients, and families are not charged for public holidays.

Easy to Access for Local Families in Sydney’s Inner West

Conveniently located at 6 Ivanhoe Street, Marrickville, our centre is just moments from Marrickville Train Station, making drop-off and pick-up easy for both local families and commuters travelling from nearby suburbs including Petersham, Earlwood, Dulwich Hill and Sydenham.

Many of our families enjoy walking to the centre, with secure pram parking available in our basement car park.

For those travelling by car, we offer three dedicated visitor parking spaces in our secure basement car park, along with additional on-street parking nearby.

If you’re using public transport, we’re just a short walk from Marrickville Station and are serviced by local bus routes including the 423 (City to Kingsgrove) and SW1 (Bankstown to Sydenham).

Hi, my name is Melissa Sekulic. I am a mother of two children myself and I have been working in the childcare industry for over 20 years.

Hand on heart I have to say that Learn and Laugh shares my passion and ensures that everything is about and for the children.

I started working in the childcare industry through my love for children and being able to watch them grow, develop and achieve their milestones whilst having the opportunity and being proud to play a part in the people they become, our future generation.

I believe each child is unique, individual and learn best through active learning. My aim is to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment where each of our children are able to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.

As centre manager of learn and laugh Marrickville I look forward to ensuring myself and our educators provide only the best for you and our children.
