Learn & Laugh at Wyoming is conveniently located on Henry Parry Drive, across the road from the the local Catholic School. Wyoming has been a family run centre for many years, with some team members having their adult children attend many years ago. Becoming Learn & Laugh 5 years ago we were excited to keep it as such, a “Family owned Centre”. The numerous additions and renovations have provided the 3 room centre centre with a combination of brand new facilities with the charm of a ‘family’ type centre.
We acknowledge the Darkinjung people who are the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to their elders past, present and future, for they hold the Indigenous memories of culture and country for all Australian people.
I graduated from Macquarie University, Sydney in 2008 completing a Bachelor of education (early
childhood education). I have many years of experience working as an Early childhood teacher and also in various management roles supporting educators to achieve quality outcomes for the children in their care.
Being a mother of 3 boys, I am keenly aware of how fast paced life can be for children growing up in this generation. I am passionate about early childhood education offering an opportunity for children to connect with experiences that develop a sense of wonder in the world around them and embed a love of investigating and knowledge seeking that will last a lifetime. I firmly believe that the learning environment is a key tool which educators can use to encourage children to independently explore new concepts, making sense of their world and developing a feeling of safety and security to keep seeking further.
In my role as Director of Learn and Laugh Wyoming I aim to work in partnership with the families who attend this service each day and support the individual needs of each child to the best of my ability. I hope to facilitate a warm and welcoming environment where achieving quality outcomes for the children are at the core of all that we do.
