Learn & Laugh Rosebery has been open for 10 years and is located under the Meriton building complex on the corner of Rothschild Ave and Epsom Rd. There is convenient off-street parking which is a must in the busy streets of Rosebery. Our centre is purpose built with 3 oversized rooms surrounded by windows for natural light. We are located away from the busy streets and is a quiet place for children learn, play and grow.
We acknowledge the Gadigal people who are the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to their elders past, present and future, for they hold the Indigenous memories of culture and country for all Australian people.
I completed my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in Ireland and moved to Australia after I graduated in 2010. I have worked with Learn & Laugh here at Rosebery since then. I began as an Early Childhood Teacher working closely with the younger children and supported my Director as the Centre’s 2IC. When the opportunity came up to lead the team and take on the Directors position, I did not hesitate. I have been in the Directors role since 2014.
What I enjoy about my work is seeing the children learn and play in a safe and secure environment, where they can be themselves wholeheartedly. It gives me such joy to be a part of their early years learning – which is so important. I also enjoy managing a team of such passionate and caring educators. We have built a strong sense of community within our centre. Learn and Laugh has become a home away from home for me and I am proud to be a part of it.
My mission for the centre is to create an atmosphere of warmth and security, where the children feel like they are arriving at their second home. The most important thing for me is that parents feel confident to leave their children in our care and trust that they will be in an environment where they receive love, affection and a sense of belonging as well as learning.
