Learn & Laugh Rosebery has been open for 10 years and is located under the Meriton building complex on the corner of Rothschild Ave and Epsom Rd. There is convenient off-street parking which is a must in the busy streets of Rosebery. Our centre is purpose built with 3 oversized rooms surrounded by windows for natural light. We are located away from the busy streets and is a quiet place for children learn, play and grow.
We acknowledge the Gadigal people who are the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to their elders past, present and future, for they hold the Indigenous memories of culture and country for all Australian people.
I have a teaching background in both primary and early childhood settings and am excited to use this knowledge in my role as director at Learn and Laugh Rosebery. I completed my Bachelor of Education (Primary) with Bachelor of Arts in 2015. Throughout this time, I became very familiar with Learn and Laugh as my mother has been working as the cook at the Hornsby service since 2011. After completing my degree I taught in primary schools before moving to South Korea to teach English. Once I returned, I began transitioning to early education through a graduate certificate in Early childhood and have been working as an early childhood teacher in Newcastle prior to starting at Learn and Laugh.
I believe the role of an educator is to be active in their teaching practice, creating an environment that supports meaningful discussions, explorative conversations and interactions which leads to further learning opportunities. I know that each child is unique, therefore I value inclusive teaching practices to allow for children’s diverse needs to be catered for. Families and the broader community play a vital role in children’s development. In my role as director, I hope to facilitate the crucial links between home life and the early learning environment to allow children to thrive. I hope we will have the opportunity to be a part of your child’s crucial first years of life.
