At Learn and Laugh Hornsby, we take pride in our environments; which have been carefully and creatively designed with the children at the forefront of our minds.
Each learning space deliberately offers our children the opportunity to explore their sense of agency, allowing them the power of choice when it comes to the resources available to them.
Our team are keen up-cyclers, utilising second hand items from garage sales, charity shops and kerbsides clean-ups. We rarely buy new plastic toys, preferring to use recycled items, loose parts and sustainable resources.
Our classrooms are divided into smaller learning spaces in order to create calm and to facilitate social interactions between the children.
Our furniture, facilities and equipment are ‘child sized’ to allow the children ease in using these items independent of adult assistance. This instils confidence in our children and their abilities, nurturing their self-esteem.
