Child care Alexandria
Learn & Laugh at Alexandria is a trusted early learning centre located on Bradford street. Nestled within the City of Sydney council area, our centre is ideally positioned for families commuting through the area or living in the nearby residential pockets of Eveleigh, Waterloo, Saint Peters and Mascot.
Conveniently located at the end of a no-through road and offering families a safe environment away from busy traffic. Just moments from Botany Road and Gardeners Road, with ample on-site parking available, drop-off and pick-up are quick and easy for families commuting to and from work.
Our centre has long served the local community. Part of the Learn & Laugh family since 2018. In fact, some of our team members have had their own children attend over the years.
Children enjoy our spacious outdoor play area, which is fully covered, allowing them to explore, discover, and stay active in all weather conditions throughout the year.
Our purpose-built centre features five age-specific learning environments:
Each room offers a carefully designed program that supports children’s individual development through play-based learning. Our educational programs encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning while helping children develop the skills they need to thrive.
Our dedicated team of warm and nurturing educators are passionate about building strong relationships with every child, ensuring they feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated throughout their learning journey.
Healthy eating is an important part of our philosophy. Our experienced on-site cook prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily, giving children delicious, balanced meals made with quality ingredients. You can read about our menu planning in this blog post. We also offer take away home cooked meals to help ease the load on busy families.
We are committed to creating a welcoming community where children flourish, families feel connected, and every child is given the best possible start to their learning journey
Learn & Laugh Alexandria is easy to access for local families and commuters travelling from surrounding suburbs, like Mascot and Newtown.
We acknowledge the Gadigal people who are the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to their elders past, present and future, for they hold the Indigenous memories of culture and country for all Australian people.

I have always known from a young age that working with children would be the career path I would choose. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies back home in Ireland and this affords me the qualification of ECT here in Australia. During my time in the industry I have held many roles, beginning as a nursery room leader and eventually working my way up to centre director.
My personal philosophy has always been centred around fostering a safe and caring environment in which children are made to feel valued and secure. Being from a different country myself I understand the importance of creating a home away from home feel for all the children in my care. In knowing that they have both a space and a person to feel safe in, it is then that children can begin to explore the world around them, build upon their strengths and extend on their own interests. Role modelling positive behaviours and interactions, offering children choices in all aspects of their day and fostering strong relationships with families are also key practices that I implement daily.
In partnership with my co-director Emma and our amazing team of educators I hope to continue in our provision of quality care and education for all the children that we welcome to Alexandria.
