At Learn and Laugh Children’s Centre, we recognise the challenges that working families encounter. To ease the evening rush and promote family time, some of our centres provide freshly prepared, affordable take-home dinners for children, ready for collection at the end of the day.
The Origin of Our Take-Home Meals Initiative
Launched in 2018, this initiative originates from our firsthand experience as working parents. After a tiring day, preparing dinner is just one of the many tasks a parent faces, alongside organising baths, homework, and next-day preparations. Our aim was to find a practical solution to simplify parents’ lives, and thus, the dinner service took shape.
Freshly Prepared Meals for Kids
Our in-house cooks prepare meals such as spaghetti Bolognese and chicken stir-fry, all tailored to suit children’s tastes. Priced at just $5 per box, this solution has quickly become a favourite across our Sydney centres.

Designed with toddlers in mind, these meals are cooked on-site using familiar ingredients and differ from what children had for lunch, ensuring variety and satisfaction.

The price of $5 per box hasn’t changed since 2018. Many families pick up two boxes, enjoying ready-to-eat meals that allow for stress-free evenings focused on quality time. Additionally, we’ve transitioned to reusable containers to enhance the sustainability of our service.
