Learn & Laugh Rosebery has been open since 2009 and is located under the Meriton building complex on the corner of Rothschild Ave and Epsom Rd. There is convenient off-street parking which is a must in the busy streets of Rosebery. Our centre is purpose built with 3 oversized rooms surrounded by windows for natural light. We are located away from the busy streets and is a quiet place for children learn, play and grow.
We acknowledge the Gadigal people who are the traditional custodians of this land and pay respect to their elders past, present and future, for they hold the Indigenous memories of culture and country for all Australian people.
I moved to Australia from Ireland in March 2022 and after completing a few months travelling and working rurally I moved to Sydney and became an ECT and 2IC at learn and laugh Rosebery where I am now director. I have a bachelor’s degree in early years education with 9 years of experience in the field of early childhood education, I am a truly dedicated advocate for the well-being and development of our youngest learners and believe that there is always more to be learned. I have a masters in primary education within which I specialised in physical education and special educational needs. It has always been very clear to me that my passion and career prospects were to work with and help to educate young children.
I have taught early years all over the world in a variation of kindergartens, early years centres and schools including Ireland, Vietnam, Spain and Dubai.
As a teacher and a director my personal philosophy is to aspire towards creating a nurturing and safe environment that offers children deep thought to ignite their curiosity and encourage children to investigate and explore their surroundings. A rich learning environment provides endless opportunities for children to build upon their strengths, extend their interests and engage in positive interactions drawing parallels between the home and care environment. Through play-based learning, children can use many languages to help shape and make visible their understanding. With play and the environment’s provided children are given opportunities to explore, wonder, discover and hypothesize.
I am a true believer in the importance of fostering a love for learning from a young age. I try to create an atmosphere of trust and collaboration among our staff, parents, and, most importantly, the children.
As Director, I am dedicated to ensuring that every child at Learn and Laugh Rosebery receives a comprehensive and stimulating early education experience. I am always available to answer questions, provide support, and ensure that our centre remains a place where children thrive, and families feel welcomed and valued.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or to schedule a visit to our centre. We look forward to welcoming your family into our nurturing community.
